In this study, the effects of sequential wetting and drying cycles on physical and mechanical properties of clay soil is investigated. The uniaxial shear, triaxial shear, direct shear, swelling potential, hydraulic conductivity, and pressure plates tests were conducted on clay samples during wetting and drying cycles. The results showed that the wetting and drying cycles resulted in significant changes in the physical and mechanical properties of the soils and the compressive strength of the samples decreased by 32% after six wetting and drying cycles. The results of direct and triaxial shear tests also showed that application of 6 wetting and drying cycles reduced soil cohesion by about 40% but had no significant effect on the internal friction angle of the soil. Hydraulic conductivity tests showed that soil permeability increased about 19 times after wetting and drying. The pressure plates test, which shows the relationship between moisture content and suction in unsaturated soils (SWCC), revealed that as the number of cycles increased, the soil-water characteristic curve shifted downward and soil water retention capacity decreased.}, keywords = {Cycle wetting and drying,Permeability,Compressive strength,Soil Water Characteristic Curve}, title_fa = {بررسی آزمایشگاهی تاثیر چرخه های متوالی تر و خشک شدن بر پارامترهای مکانیکی خاک های ریزدانه}, abstract_fa = {تاثیر فرایند تر و خشک شدن متوالی بر پارامترهای مکانیکی خاک از جمله مسائل مهمی است که باید در انتخاب منبع قرضه خاک ریزدانه مورد توجه قرار گیرد و در بسیاری از سازه‌ها از جمله هسته سدهای خاکی، خاک بستر کانال های آبیاری و زیرسازی جاده ها از اهمیت بالائی برخوردار است. در این تحقیق تاثیرات تر و خشک شدن متوالی خاک رس بر مشخصه‌های فیزیکی و مکانیکی خاک مورد مطالعه آزمایشگاهی قرار گرفت. آزمایش‌های برش تک محوری، برش سه محوری، برش مستقیم، پتانسیل تورم، هدایت هیدرولیکی و آزمایش صفحات فشاری بر روی نمونه خاک رس و طی شش مرحله تر و خشک شدن متوالی مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. نتایج نشان داد که چرخه‌های تر و خشک شدن متوالی باعث بوجود آمدن تغییرات عمده‌ای در مشخصه‌های فیزیکی و مکانیکی خاک‌ها می‌شود بگونه‌ای که پس از شش چرخه تر و خشک شدن، مقاومت فشاری نمونه‌ها 32 درصد کاهش یافت. نتایج آزمایشات برش مستقیم و سه محوری نیز نشان دادند که اعمال 6 چرخه تر و خشک شدن باعث می‌شود چسبندگی خاک حدود 40 درصد کاهش پیدا کند اما تاثیر زیادی بر زاویه اصطکاک داخلی خاک ندارد. آزمایش هدایت هیدرولیکی نشان داد که نفوذپذیری خاک نیز پس از تر و خشک شدن حدود 9/1 برابر افزایش می‌یابد. با انجام آزمایش صفحات فشاری که بیانگر رابطه میان درصد رطوبت و مکش در خاک های غیر اشباع است مشخص شد که با افزایش تعداد چرخه، منحنی مشخصه آب – خاک به سمت پایین تغییرمکان پیدا می‌کند و قابلیت نگهداشت آب توسط خاک کاهش می‌یابد.}, keywords_fa = {برش مستقیم,پتانسیل تورم,چرخه تر و خشک شدن,مقاومت سه محوری,منحنی مشخصه آب- خاک}, url = {https://idj.iaid.ir/article_113183.html}, eprint = {https://idj.iaid.ir/article_113183_3cd0da53eb3f4e1c27f8be7ce5baf499.pdf} }
