Abstract
Abstract

In recent years, the use of wastewater from urban wastewater treatment plants, especially for irrigation of agricultural crops, has received attention due to the reduction in the amount of water extraction from limited conventional resources. ‌ Therefore, in this research, a quantitative and qualitative study of the effluent from the urban wastewater treatment plants of Bandar Gaz, Bandar Turkman and Kordkoy was conducted. Sampling was conducted every two months (except for heavy metals and agricultural pesticides) and for heavy metals, seasonally during the 1402-1403 crop year. The results indicate that some heavy metals such as mercury and vanadium are outside the standard range in the effluent of all three treatment plants, and dissolved oxygen is also higher than the permissible limit in all stations. In terms of microbial parameters, coliform density is high in the two stations of Bandar Turkman and Kordkoy, and chloride and magnesium concentrations are in an undesirable range in the Bandar Turkman station. In general, it can be concluded that the use of wastewater from urban wastewater treatment plants in irrigation of agricultural crops requires measures such as additional treatment and further disinfection of wastewater, continuous monitoring and supervision, and careful management and planning.
