The study was conducted with the aim of evaluating the chemical quality of water in 20 qanats in South Khorasan Province in 1403. The importance of water quality for public health and economic development raises the issue of chemical quality as a determining factor in various water uses. Using data from the regional water organization, as well as chemical analysis of the water from the aqueducts, and by drawing Schuler, Wilcox, and Piper diagrams, using the MATLAB program, the water quality for drinking, agricultural, and industrial uses has been evaluated. The results of these analyses determine the water quality of the aqueducts for various uses. Based on the Piper diagram drawn for 20 qanats in the regions of South Khorasan, it determines the water quality of the qanats for different uses. High levels of sodium and sulfate in drinking water can affect water quality and human health. High levels of sodium can cause high blood pressure, and high levels of sulfate can cause digestive problems and change the taste of the water. In terms of agricultural uses, the water of all the qanats is suitable for agriculture. Regarding industrial uses, it can be said that the water of the four qanats of Shamsabad, Qatargaz, Tabas Messina, and Qanat Qamari is unsuitable for industrial uses due to their high sedimentation.
