Given the water shortage in different parts of the country, determining and evaluating the amount of virtual water and water productivity in important agricultural products seems necessary and essential. In this study, the calculation and examination of three indicators of virtual water (VW), physical productivity (WP) and economic productivity (NBPD) of tomato crop in the crop year 1401 in Hamedan province were carried out. The crop yield, cost and income, amount of water consumed and irrigation requirement of tomato in the farms of the provinces were collected and calculated. The results of the study showed that the highest value of the tomato virtual water (VW) is 443.3 liters per kilogram in Hamedan County and the lowest value is 146.2 liters per kilogram in Razan County. Considering the area under cultivation of this product in different counties of the province, on average and for the entire province, the value of this index was 260.6 liters per kilogram. Also, the highest value of the tomato physical productivity (WP) is 6.84 kg/m3, which is related to Razan County and the lowest value is 2.26 kg/m3, which is related to Hamedan County. Considering the area under cultivation of this product in different counties of the province, on average and for the entire province, the value of the tomato physical productivity was equal to 3.84 kg/m3. The NBPD index also had the highest value in Razan County, which was equal to 78.8 thousand rials/m3, and in Hamedan County, it was the lowest value and equal to -45.4 thousand rials/m3. This index was also calculated by considering the area under cultivation of tomatoes in different counties of the province, on average and for the entire province, and its value was equal to -4.1 thousand rials/m3.
